When I draw, I most often see faces. Their eyes are often closed, or one eye is momentarily peeking. It’s like the outer view of an inner experience. Birds, fish, and other living things appear as well. A variety of shapes, objects, and words float between them. The images interlock like a hieroglyphic puzzle or labyrinth of life. I’m inspired by the idea that each observer owns an exclusive view with a unique interpretation of my artistic intention. I push to stimulate and inspire, often using canvas, cups, repurposed containers, wood, metal, and more. As a graphic artist, I digitally create patterns that stand alone, decorate fabric, or act as a background for expressive silhouettes and photos.
