Hunt Residencies XI

Artist Statement:

Some things demand to be seen, even when it is difficult to explain why. My paintings are an exploration of attention and perception, how something insignificant can become compelling simply by observing closely.

My most recent works are deeply inspired by nature, particularly through the lens of my experience as a floral designer. l am drawn to the colors and textures that I find in the discarded clippings and lost petals. These remnants create their own type of landscape. Landscapes full of intimacy and motion that I attempt to capture with my oil paintings.

Artist Bio:

Sarah is a Buffalo-based fine artist and floral designer, who primarily works with oil paints. Sarah received an Associate of Art and Science in Fine Arts from SUNY Niagara in 2019. Her works have been in solo and group exhibitions across Western New York.
