UNEARTHED — Hunt Residencies VIII

Within my artworks, I find the connection of growth through identity, sociopolitical and interpersonal events. Our connections as humans interplay with the environment around us. We create intricate textile processes that disappear over years of Colonization, our upbringing and tools given to us can determine the start point in our lives. As we grow older, we get to decide what we take with us. Events we can forgive, but not forget. Our individual power comes from our decision to move forward with and shed the parts that no longer serve us. Inspired by recognizable imagery,I hope you take the future in your hands and make a more accepting and creative world.
