My work is a societal commentary that uses symbolic imagery to critique cultural norms. My imagery contrasts man-made with organic textures. Within these textures, there are contained, yet expansive spaces. I’m fascinated with these worlds- small enough to hold, yet vast enough to get lost in.

I choose materials each with its own texture and movement, such as oil paint and charcoal. My process balances precision with the organic nature of materials, referencing the relationship between humans and nature. This is often reflected in my themes and subject matter.

A metallic muffin tin with six circular cups, three of which contain bottle caps with red tops, and three are empty. The tin is on a wooden surface.
A metal anti-slip tray with six circular indentations, of which three contain orange-lidded bottles, and the other three are empty.
