Hunt Residencies XI

Artist statement:

Zachary Nosbisch is an artist currently working in Buffalo, New York. He is a graduate of Daemen University with a BFA in Visual Communication and received an Excellence Award for his studies. Afterwards, he was a member of the first cohort of Buffalo Institute of Contemporary Art’s secondary educational program, BICA School.

Exploring a variety of mediums, he attempts to translate research, poetry and experience into physical manifestations. Frequently using automatism aside technical meticulousness, he explores the divide between spiritual liberation and physical suffering. Stuck in constant observation, his work often emerges through graphite and is left incomplete.
